I have know stephen knoop for about 6 years now. We were both harcore ka-t guys and where both interested in autocrossing. Drifting back then was just taking off and not many people actually drifted and track events were not really available. Fast forward to now. We have both moved on from autocrossing, ka-t’s, and Sr’s. In 2010 we are looking to join everybody else on track with v8 powered s-chassy cars. Next year we both plan to have our cars out there sideways with ls1’s and fully build drift cars. I have taken responsibility to build the cages for 3 drift cars competing next year in Usdrift. Knoop” aka” WishiHadaSilvia is one of those guys and he will be getting a lot of work from me. Front tubs are on the list, so he can run my RE_spec Knuckles. Keep tuned!!!!

There is a 6 point cage in that car right now.
After a 4 month layoff from drifting due to my full time job. I finally was about to take the newly rebuilt coupe out for a spin. The first part of the morning I had to take the intake mani off to fix a tiny coolant leak coming from the turbo inlet hose. People where standing around me thinking I was crazy. I took the exhuast down, manifold off the car in less than an hour, took lunch, then put it back together to enjoy the rest of the day. Well it tunred out great. Here is a small video off how I did at drift water 4

My car is back together and ready for the next even. Engine was machined at abacus racing in va beach and put together here. I have to thank chuck at abacus for the precision his guys put into my engine and the quick turn around. The engine was decked, cleaned, and honed. The crankshaft was clearenced, polished, and balanced. We used oem rods and pistons, but went with acl race bearing. Oiling was improved with a newer oil pump, greddy pan, and s14 pick up tube. The head was worked a little, valve seals changed out, 45 degree cut on valves, and decked. I also bought a widebody, BN sports copy kit, and a set of the loudest gramlights you have ever seen.

We took the engine out to find out what happend to it on the track. After initial inspection we found out the the numer 4 connecting rod journal on the crankshaft was damage. So I took the crankshaft out to get machined at Abacus racing and chuck mic the crankshaft but there is nothing he can do. It is way too damaged for him to machine it. Now I am in search to find another short block or a crankshaft. My block on the other hand is very clean.
We are taking two cars to VIR this weekend for a little shake down on the patriot course. Stay tuned for videos and pictures of this epic weekend.
